Lice
We have had quite a little bout with lice here at Dakar Academy over the past few weeks. Of course it started with just a few kids but eventually it spread throughout the school. After the lice checks about 70 kids were sent home because they had nits. The school did not do annual lice checks at the beginning of the school year prior to this but I can assure you that they will from now on. The ironic thing is that it is quite possible that the lice was actually brought from the U.S. since one of the kids who first was known to have it just came from their. Although since we have not been checking every year it is possible that this has been a problem that has been going on since last year. Anyways, just talking about it makes my head itch. I think it is time for another haircut.
