Grandmother

Please keep our family in your prayers as my (David) grandmother has been quite ill. She had massive stroke which left her unable to eat but after a few days she has been able to eat a little and drink some. My parents are expecting to have to leave for the States possibly even before the end of our visit here in Brazil with them. Please for God's mercy, peace, and grace in all of our lives and especially in the life of my dad and his family.

Christmas

I hope that all who read this have had a wonderful Christmas. We had the privilege of spending it with family in Brazil and well a missionary couple who we consider family. The day after Christmas, Boxing Day, we went to Campos Do Jordao which is a very quaint and nice little town up in the mountains (mountains by my standards at least). The next day we headed back home and are here at my parents house now spending time with the family. It has been an outstanding trip thus far.

Hello From Brazil

For those who do not know we have been given the incredible opportunity to come to Brazil for a Christmas with my (David) parents and brother. The trip was a gift from our family and it is so exciting. I grew up in Brazil until about 1992 when we moved to West Africa. This trip has already been an amazing time and we still have several weeks ahead of us. We will continue to keep you updated as this trip continues.

David's Birthday

Early this past November for my birthday Michelle did something very fun. She started out by placing hints all over the house in the form of a treasure hunt. When all the clues were put together they told me that we were going to a nice hotel here in Dakar for a weekend. It was a wonderful weekend and we had a very nice relaxing time. The only downside was that I got quite sick at the end of that weekend and I still have not completely recovered. We think it is probably some sort of upper respiratory infection. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful weekend!

P.S. By The Way... This Was My 30th Birthday.

Hello Again

Well, we've been totally disconnected from the ol' blog for well over a month and we are very ashamed of that fact. This is supposed to be a good way for all of you who visit to keep up and here we have missed our opportunity to share so much with you. Time to start over...

P.S. I will be publishing some stories and updates that may have happened a while ago just so that we have lots of content.
